Three wines from Bodegas De Alberto have been included in the Gourmet Wine Guide 2018, which in its 33rd edition remains the oldest among the specialized publications of the wine sector in Spain and as a reference for professionals and amateurs.
The three wines from Bodegas Hijos de Alberto Gutiérrez recognized for their selection within the Gourmet Guide 2018 Honor Roll have been the rosé Finca Valdemoya Pálido 2016, the De Alberto Dorado and the white De Alberto Verdejo 2016. Recognition that adds to the important list of awards of prizes obtained by these wines in other contests and publications.
With 94 points, the rosé Finca Valdemoya Pálido 2016, made with Tempranillo 100% grapes from the IGP Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y León, with a pale pink color, floral and fruit aromas reminiscent of red fruits and petals of pink, and with a light and juicy mouthfeel of good structure.
De Alberto Dorado has obtained 90 points, the minimum established by the publication to be included in the Honor Roll. In this case, the elegance and intensity of this Dorado DO Rueda were decisive, made with the Verdejo variety, with an old gold color, clean and bright, and an intense and complex aroma with hints of nuts.
Also with 90 points, stands the De Alberto 100% Verdejo 2016 Selected Harvest, made with the native variety of the DO Rueda, (the Verdejo in a 100%). It is a white, dry wine, aged on the lees, of a singular straw yellow color with greenish reflections. It is intense on the nose, where fruity aromas stand out with tones of hay and hints of aniseed, and on the palate it is fresh and with a long persistence.
