The prestigious publication describes the wine from Bodegas De Alberto as "complex, outstanding and memorable", the only one that distinguishes with Master quality
The Drink Business, one of the great world 'bibles' of wine, has ranked De Alberto Dorado Dulce as the best wine of the Rueda Designation of Origin.
The prestigious British monthly publication, which has hundreds of thousands of followers around the world, set out to demonstrate that Rueda wines are one of the highest quality references in the world. For this they launched 'Rueda Masters', a blind tasting with DO Rueda wines in which there was only one sweet wine, which ultimately ended up seducing the judges, who qualified De Alberto Dorado Dulce as “complex, unique, outstanding and memorable”.
In his opinion, what makes this wine extraordinary, the only one that received the Master quality label, is its traditional oxidative production, which produces a series of nuances that are absolutely different from other DO Rueda wines characterized, in general, by have “a refreshing herbal note, a subtle fennel flavor and a more than affordable price, which guarantees them success”.
After the tasting, The Drink Business has prepared a ranking with the ten most outstanding wines from Rueda and places the wine from Bodegas De Alberto at the top, of which it also stands out, “its incredible variety of flavors and a sensation of warmth make it a delicious wine that would be very well served cold as an aperitif or ideal as an accompaniment to strong cheeses”.
Multiple awards around the world
The opinion of Patricia Stefanowicz and Jonathan Pedley, judges of 'Rueda Masters', is another great recognition for De Alberto, who continues to position several of his references at the top.
In fact, at the beginning of the year it was the Monasterio de Palazuelos 100% Verdejo DO Rueda 2021, one of the most emblematic wines of the winery, which received the Gold Medal of the San Francisco International Wine Competition (SFIWC).
It seems that 2023 continues on the same path as last year in terms of great awards in the most important wine competitions in the world, after obtaining the Gold and Silver medals at the Mundus Vini International Wine Awards, and now, with the highest recognition for From Alberto Dorado Dulce by The Drik Business.
These distinctions are added to others of the highest prestige obtained by Bodegas De Alberto in recent years, such as Platinum at the Decanter World Wine Awards, 91 points at Parker Wine Advocate, the Great Gold Medal at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles or the Great Gold Bacchus.
