The Monasterio de Palazuelos Verdejo 100% DO Rueda wine from Bodegas De Alberto has been awarded the Silver Medal at the twenty-second edition of the Mundus Vini International Wine Grand Prix, one of the most recognized wine competitions in the world and a prelude to the celebration of the ProWein Fair in Germany, a reference event for the sector at an international level.
This recognition adds to the important list of awards obtained by this wine in other publications and competitions, such as the Gold Medal obtained just a week ago at the Berliner Wein Trophy, with the endorsement of the OIV (International Organization of Vine and Wine ) and the UIOE (International Union of Oenologists).
Monasterio de Palazuelos Verdejo, elaborated with the native variety of the DO Rueda, the Verdejo, in 100%, has been distinguished in the contest for its good intensity in nose and mouth and described as a straw-colored yellow wine with greenish reflections , where fruit aromas with tones of hay and aniseed memories stand out. The De Alberto Verdejo 100% DO Rueda 2017 has obtained the Silver Medal at the CINVE 2018 Awards, as the organization announced today. This award adds to its inclusion in the Honor Roll of the Gourmet Wine Guide 2018, with 90 points obtained, among other recognitions.
The CINVE 2018 International Wine and Spirits Competition, which has celebrated its fourteenth edition this year, has valued around 700 brands of wines and extra virgin olive oils from 17 countries.
