From Alberto Ecological 100% Verdejo, welcomed the Denomination of Origin Rueda, has been awarded in the 25th edition of the prestigious world contest held in Beijing.
De Alberto Ecológico 100% Verdejo DO Rueda has been awarded the Silver Medal in the twenty-fifth edition of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles (Concours Mondial de Bruxelles), one of the most important international wine competitions in the world.
More than 9,180 wines from 48 countries have competed in the 2018 edition of this traveling competition, held in the Haidian district of Beijing and characterized by an increase in participation of 120 compared to last year and by the ambition to "offer consumers a guarantee: recognize and differentiate irreproachable quality wines from all over the world and in all price ranges”, according to sources from the organization.
Organic wines, including the award-winning De Alberto Ecológico 100% Verdejo DO Rueda, also stood out especially in the contest, with an increase in participation of almost 60% compared to last year. In this edition they represented almost 12% of the total number of wines in 2018.
De Alberto Ecológico Verdejo 100% DO Rueda, evaluated by the competition jury made up of 330 journalists, sommeliers, buyers and oenologists from all over the world, has been valued as a dry white wine, with a singular straw yellow color and greenish reflections. It is intense on the nose, where fruity aromas stand out with tones of hay and hints of aniseed, and on the palate it is fresh and with a long persistence.
This recognition adds to the important list of awards obtained by De Alberto Ecológico Verdejo 100% DO Rueda in other competitions and publications, such as the Bronze Medal obtained last week at the 'Decanter World Wine Awards 2018'.
