De Alberto Dorado achieves for the second consecutive year the highest award in the international competition organized by the Spanish Tasters Union
Serrada (Valladolid), March 10th, 2020. Alberto Dorado 100% Verdejo DO Rueda has been awarded for the second consecutive year with the Grand Bacchus de Oro, the highest award in the 2020 edition of the prestigious international wine competition organized by the Spanish Union of Tasters (UEC) and recognized by the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV) and the World Federation of Great Contests of Wines and Spirits (Vinofed).
With Alberto Dorado 100% Verdejo DO Rueda, from Bodegas Hijos de Alberto Gutiérrez, it obtained with this Grand Bacchus de Oro a relevant recognition in one of the most reputed wine competitions worldwide. Held this weekend in Madrid, the contest has had a hundred professionals and experts, including specialized journalists, sommeliers, winemakers, Masters of Wine and Masters of Sommelier.
This award also adds to the important prize list of awards obtained for this wine, among which the Platinum Medal with 97 points in Decanter, the Great Gold Medal in the Brussels World Contest, the Great Gold Medal in VINESPAÑA , the 95 Peñín Guide Points or the 91 Parker Wine Advocate Points.
Bodegas De Alberto is the only DO Rueda winery that, with its De Alberto Dorado Verdejo 100% DO Rueda, has maintained since its birth in the 40s the elaboration of the historic golden wine, rigorously adhering to the traditional methodology: developing a aging Oxidative in outdoor demijohns and a solera aging in large boots with a mother wine of more than 70 years.
