Two wines from Bodegas De Alberto have been awarded Gold Medals at the Berliner Wein Trophy, the most important international wine competition in Germany and endorsed by the OIV (International Organization of Vine and Wine) and the UIOE (Union International Winemakers), one of the most relevant in the world.
The two wines from Bodegas Hijos de Alberto Gutiérrez recognized with two Gold Medals, among the more than 6,200 wines submitted to the contest, have been the De Alberto Ecológico Verdejo and the Monasterio de Palazuelos Verdejo. Recognition that adds to the important list of prizes obtained by these wines in other competitions and publications.
Made with the Verdejo 100% grape, the De Alberto Ecológico DO Rueda has been valued by the tasters of the Berliner Wein Trophy as a dry white wine, with a singular straw yellow color and greenish reflections. It is intense on the nose, where fruity aromas stand out with tones of hay and hints of aniseed, and on the palate it is fresh and with a long persistence.
The Monasterio de Palazuelos Verdejo, made with the native variety of the DO Rueda, the Verdejo, in a 100%, has been distinguished in the contest for its quality and described as a straw-yellow wine with greenish reflections, with good intensity on the nose where the fruity aromas with tones of hay and aniseed memories stand out. On the palate, it is fresh and tasty, and its good structure and persistence stand out.
