Of Alberto Verdejo, From Alberto Ecological and De Alberto Barrel Fermented, all Verdejo 100% DO Wheel, have been the award-winning wines.
Three wines from Bodegas De Alberto have been awarded with individual Bronze Medals in the 'Decanter World Wine Awards 2018', the most important international wine competition in the United Kingdom and, created and managed by the global reference wine magazine Decanter, one of the most relevant in the world.
De Alberto Verdejo, De Alberto Ecológico and De Alberto Fermentado en Barrica, all made with the Verdejo 100% variety and under the DO Rueda, have been the wines awarded three Bronze Medals by the renowned British contest, after passing the preliminary phase evaluation and enter the final official stages, reserved for the awarding of medals at the international level for the best wines.
The jury, gathered under the maxims of demand and of rewarding excellence, was made up of specialists in the region or in the categories of the different disciplines, winemakers, distributors, specialized journalists, Masters of Wine and Master Sommeliers, among whom stood out columnists and Masters of Wine Andrew Jefford and Sarah Jane Evans.
This recognition is added to the important list of awards obtained in 2018 for these wines in other competitions and publications, where the intensity on the nose, the freshness and the long persistence of De Alberto Ecológico have been praised, as well as the complexity and structure of De Alberto Fermented in Barrel, and the elegance and length of De Alberto Verdejo.
