From Alberto Dorado, Saitina, Monasterio de Palazuelos Verdejo 100% DO Rueda and Finca Valdemoya Rosado Pálido, have been the award-winning wines
Four wines from Bodegas De Alberto have been awarded two Gold Medals and two Silver Medals at the 'Zarcillo Awards 2018', one of the most influential international wine competitions held in Spain, which had 2,020 participating samples in this edition.
Alberto Dorado Verdejo 100% DO Rueda and Saitina obtained two Gold Medals, and Monasterio de Palazuelos Verdejo 100% DO Rueda and Finca Valdemoya Pale Rosado, under the IGP Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y León, were awarded two Silver Medals.
The jury of this XVII national and IX international edition of the Zarcillos was made up of 84 judges from the five continents, including sommeliers, oenologists, journalists and bloggers, who awarded 409 awards, of which more than half were obtained by wines from Castilla y León.
The celebration of the 2018 Zarcillo Awards coincided with the Duero Wine Fest congress, in Burgos, where Bodegas Hijos de Alberto Gutiérrez was also honored as one of the pioneer winemaking wineries in Castilla y León and as an example of "transformation and progress”, in the words of Juan Vicente Herrera, president of the community.
This recognition for Bodegas De Alberto is added to the important list of awards obtained in 2018 by these winning wines in other competitions and publications, such as the Gold Medal at the Berliner Wine Trophy, 91 Robert Parker Wine Advocate points, 95 Guía Peñín points, 94 Club de Gourmets points or the Grand Gold in Vinespaña.
