Monasterio de Palazuelos Verdejo 2021 has obtained the Gold Medal and De Alberto Verdejo Ecológico 2021, the Silver Medal
De Alberto wines have received new awards yesterday that recognize their quality and the work carried out by the winery. Thus, Monasterio de Palazuelos Verdejo 2021 has obtained the Gold Medal, while De Alberto Verdejo Ecológico 2021 has won the Silver Medal in the 29th edition of the Brussels World Contest, in which specialized experts selected for their knowledge and expertise ability to taste all kinds of wines according to their peculiarities have analyzed 7,275 samples.
Monasterio de Palazuelos Verdejo 2021 is a 100% Verdejo white wine made with the best grapes harvested at night, which has allowed it to win an outstanding list of international awards and medals and become one of the winery's most emblematic wines.
For its part, De Alberto Verdejo Ecológico 2021 is a wine from an organic 100% vineyard that has received the most meticulous care and expert vinification. A refreshing and intense Verdejo, in which its citrus and white fruit aromas stand out, which has become a benchmark Verdejo. Powerful on the palate and faithful to the character of the varietal with a pleasant memory.
These last two recognitions are added to those obtained last May, when De Alberto Dorado was awarded a Gold Bacchus at the XX Bacchus International Wine Competition 2022. A jury made up of 80 members selected this award from among the best 100 % Verdejo DO Rueda, oxidatively aged in glass demijohns and aged in oak barrels using the solera method.
Bodegas de Alberto is the only winery that has produced the historic Dorado de Rueda wine uninterruptedly and always adhering to the strictest traditional method of oxidative aging in demijohns exposed to the sun and subsequent aging in soleras. Soleras that preserve a mother wine of more than 80 years that constitute an authentic oenological heritage that the Gutiérrez family has guarded since the 40s and transmitted from generation to generation.
In addition to this Gold Bacchus, the winery also saw recognition for the work done with its De Alberto Ecológico 100% Verdejo DO Rueda 2021, made with Certified Organic Agriculture vineyards that won a Gold Medal at the CINVE Awards.

Finally, another four De Alberto wines obtained medals in different categories at the Mezquita Awards held in Córdoba. Thus, De Alberto Dorado, De Alberto Dorado Dulce and De Alberto 80 Aniversario obtained a gold medal while De Alberto Pálido achieved a bronze medal.
In recent months, the winery has also won the Silver Medal in Vinalies with its Finca Valdemoya Rosado, recognition for Best Fortified Wine at the 2021 Verema Awards, this time with De Alberto Dorado, and a special mention for Best Wine Tourism Project, by managing to be among the three most voted initiatives in the same framework.
De Alberto Dorado also has the distinction of "exceptional" with 98 points in the Decanter tasting panel. Two recognitions that are added to the Great Golden Zarcillo achieved last October, in the last edition of these awards, to the Platinum Medal at the 'Decanter World Wine Awards' obtained for two consecutive years; the Great Gold Medal at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, the Great Gold Bacchus; the Great Gold Medal in Vinespaña; the 95 Guía Peñín Points or the 91 Parker Wine Advocate Points.
