The participation invitation for Bodegas Hijos De Alberto Gutiérrez arrives just after the Master of Wine Sarah Jane Evans selected De Alberto Dorado as the number one of the Spanish wines in the Jerez style category in the latest Decanter publication on the best wines from Spain in 2019.
The ‘Decanter Fine Wine Encounter’ will bring together an exclusive selection of Platinum wines, and Best in Show 2019, which can be tasted for two days at The Landmark Hotel, in London, by the more than 1500 professionals and key figures of the wine sector attendees.
This recognition adds to the important prize list of awards obtained for this wine, among which is the Grand Gold Medal at the Brussels World Contest, the Grand Gold Bacchus, the Grand Gold Medal in Vinespaña, the 95 Peñín Guide Points or the 91 Parker Wine Advocate Points.
Bodegas De Alberto is the only winery of the DO Rueda that, with its De Alberto Dorado Verdejo 100% DO Rueda, has maintained since its birth in the 40s the elaboration of the historic golden wine, strictly following the traditional methodology: developing a crianza Oxidative in open-air ‘demijons’ and a solera aged in 600 liters capacity barrels with a mother wine of more than 70 years.
