Bodegas De Alberto was the star of the Verema 2024 forum meeting, the most visited Spanish-speaking community of wine and gastronomy enthusiasts, with more than 123,000 registered users.
Dozens of wine lovers and members of this outstanding online community enjoyed a unique day at the historic Serrada winery (Valladolid). The event gave attendees the opportunity to learn more about the winemaking legacy of Bodegas De Alberto and to immerse themselves in the process of making its most emblematic wines.
The winery's general manager, Carmen San Martín, welcomed the participants and guided them on a comprehensive tour of the facilities, which included a walk through the 17th-century underground galleries. This space, steeped in history, fascinated the forum participants, who enjoyed an immersive experience that transported them to the past and allowed them to learn about the essential role of these centuries-old tunnels in the aging and conservation of wines.
Another highlight of the visit was the stop at the 'demijohn beach', where the attendees learned about this traditional method of ageing under the sun, characteristic of Bodegas De Alberto. The members of Verema also had the privilege of tasting the De Alberto Dorado wine directly from the demijohn, the barrel and the bottle. In this way, they experienced the fascinating evolution process of this unique wine, a symbol of the winery and a reference since the times of the Catholic Monarchs.
The visit concluded with a tasting of the winery's most representative wines, an experience that allowed the forum members to delve deeper into the particularities of each variety and the dedication with which they are made.
The meeting of Verema 2024 forum members at De Alberto was a resounding success that strengthened the bond between the winery and the community of wine lovers, by sharing with all of them the commitment and passion for the art of winemaking that define Bodegas De Alberto.
